Cannes Lions 2014: 20 Indian shortlists in Outdoor; eight in Media; six in Press and one in Mobile

Cheil, Grey, Havas, JWT, Madison, McCann, Ogilvy and PHD in the fray

Cannes Lions 2014: 20 Indian shortlists in Outdoor; eight in Media; six in Press and one in Mobile
A total of 35 Indian entries have made the cut across the four categories of shortlists announced on 16 June at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2014.
 
Outdoor Lions
 
Outdoor has the highest number of Indian shortlists, with 20. McCann with 12 shortlists leads the list. Six of the shortlists are for work on Big Babol, while the remaining are for Premier Tissues.
 
Grey Worldwide and Ogilvy and Mather have three shortlists each. Two of Grey’s shortlists are for Duracell Batteries while the other is for work on Killer Jeans.
 
All of Ogilvy’s shortlists are for work done on Hot Wheels for its ‘Fast and Furious Collection’.
 
Havas Worldwide has two entries in this category; both of which are for work on Durex Condoms.
 
Media Lions
 
Eight Indian entries are in contention for Media Lions.
 
Ogilvy and PHD have two shortlists each in this category. Both of Ogilvy’s shortlists are for ‘Message Barter’ for The Akanksha Foundation, while PHD’s shortlists are for Kan Khajura Tesan for HUL.
 
Other entries to have made the cut are: Cheil’s ‘Safer City Project’ for Halonix; JWT’s ‘Make Every Yard Count’ for Nike; Madison Media Pinnacle’s ‘Mobile Breathmills’ for Halls (Cadbury India); and McCann’s ‘Share my Dabba’ for Happy Life Welfare and Dabbawala Foundation.
 
Press Lions
 
The Press Lions category sees six shortlists from India evenly distributed between Grey and JWT.
 
Grey’s shortlisted entries are for Duracell while JWT’s shortlists are for work on Godrej Security Solutions.
 
Mobile Lions

Lowe and Partners Worldwide has received India’s only shortlist in the Mobile Lions category, which is for Kan Khajura Tesan.
