Turner promotes Dhawal Katkar as senior director and network head

Katkar has been with the group since 2011. He will now head the English vertical, which encompasses HBO (marketing) and WB.

Turner promotes Dhawal Katkar as senior director and network head

Turner International India has promoted Dhawal Katkar as senior director and network head for the English vertical. Katkar, who joined Turner in April 2011, was earlier leading marketing communications for the kids segment.

In his new role, Katkar will manage integrated communications and the content portfolio of Turner's English vertical, namely HBO and WB. For the record, HBO’s marketing division comes under Turner International India. The rest of HBO, including programming, falls under Time Warner’s purview. Katkar will report to Siddharth Jain, managing director, South Asia, Turner International India.

“Dhawal, over the last two years has very ably led marcom for kids. He brings attributes including a sharp marketing brain, a sound understanding of our brands and past experience of FMCG and consumer products and has the credentials to take this key vertical to the next level of success,” said Siddharth Jain, managing director, South Asia, Turner International India, in a statement.
