Rajesh Aggarwal moves out of Dentsu India

Rajesh Aggarwal, president, Dentsu India, has put in his papers following a seven year stint with the agency. He was heading all operations of Dentsu India since 2008.

Confirming the development, Aggarwal said, "I have been with the agency since its early days in India and part of the team that built it from scratch. I am looking forward for more challenges and exciting opportunities in the space."

Though Aggarwal did not share his future plans, he informed that he will continue to be in the communications space. An official announcement on his next destination is expected shortly.

The development follows the exit of some senior hands at Dentsu in the recent past. Last week, Gullu Sen, executive vice-chairperson and chief creative officer, Dentsu India, put in his papers after being with the agency since 2003, and Nitin Suri, national creative director, Dentsu Marcom had also put in his papers soon after.

Aggarwal began his association with Dentsu in India as one of the founding members in 2004, after moving out of Rediffusion Delhi. He started his career at Edge Communications, Everest's creative boutique in mid-1980s. After five years, he left the agency as group manager in 1991 to join Rediffusion-Y&R where he worked for nine years before moving to the client side. He joined National Panasonic as head, marketing, but returned to Rediffusion Delhi as general manager.
