BIG Broadcasting brings in Arup Gopikrishna as vice president - distribution

Reliance Television, the broadcast subsidiary of RBNL, has appointed Arup Gopikrishna to lead distribution for the upcoming slew of TV channels starting with the BIG CBS relationship. In this capacity, Gopikrishna will be responsible for the market penetration by entering into strategic distribution alliances with MSOs, DTH operators, and commercial establishments.

Gopikrishna joins BIG Broadcasting from Pacenet where he was the business head. He has extensive experience of over 19 years in the industry of CATV and distribution and has worked with companies like Zee-Turner, Walt Disney International, Zee Network and TV Today Network Ltd. He will be reporting to Ashutosh Pandey, chief operating officer, BIG Broadcasting.

Confirming the new appointment, Pandey said, "We welcome Arup on board and are optimistic that his domain expertise and past experience will help add great value to our efforts. He will be overseeing distribution of all the channels of BIG CBS Networks Pvt. Ltd at a national level."
