WPP has announced that it is creating a dedicated Integrated Marketing Communications unit for Colgate-Palmolive in India. The new initiative is said to be "in response to changing market needs". The new group will be named Team Colgate and will report directly to Y&R international management. It will be housed at Bates India and will develop integrated advertising, shopper marketing and digital programs.
Rediffusion Y&R will shift its portion of the assignment to the new unit after a 25-year tenure. Campaign India had earlier reported that Colgate had decided to move from the agency (read story here).
