Rediffusion DY&R appoints Rahul Mathew as creative head, Mumbai

Rediffusion DY&R has appointed Rahul Mathew as creative head, Mumbai. Mathew comes from Y&R Kuala Lumpur where he was a creative director. At Young & Rubicam he worked on global accounts like OCBC Bank, LG, Yamaha, Campbell, Malaysian Milk and Kotra Pharma.

Rediffusion DY&R has appointed Rahul Mathew as creative head, Mumbai. Mathew comes from Y&R Kuala Lumpur where he was a creative director. At Young & Rubicam he worked on global accounts like OCBC Bank, LG, Yamaha, Campbell, Malaysian Milk and Kotra Pharma.
Mathew started his career as a junior copywriter at JWT, Delhi and then moved on to Leo Burnett. After that, he joined Enterprise Nexus as senior copywriter. He then moved to Ogilvy Healthcare where he was copy supervisor for brands like Ranbaxy Consumer Healthcare, Pharmacia, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and Human Organ Procurement and Education Trust (HOPE). In 2003 he moved to McCann in Mumbai.
Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar and Ramanuj Shastry, chief creative officers, Rediffusion | DYR said, “We are extremely happy to have on board a talent like Rahul. He will add great value to our creative output as an agency and we’re sure we’ll help him collect many more awards while he is here.”
Mathew said, “There’s a buzz that I had been missing. And when I decided to head back home to hunt it down, I found Rediffusion to be the place that is buzzing the loudest. Buzzing with energy, ideas, enthusiasm and a vision. And the fact that Ramanuj and Sagar were at the helm of it just made the decision even easier. I have had great working relationships with the both of them at different points in my career, and getting together once again is just the first step of great things to come.”
